Dear Visitor:

I hope that after you have perused our website, you can come away with an understanding and appreciation for LeafLit and its dedication to your cause. Moreover, and more importantly, I hope that you can align yourself with our goals.

The ideas behind LeafLit were conceived from personal experience. Specifically, as a bankruptcy attorney, I was contacted by clients who were forced to file for bankruptcy under the duress of high, unpaid medical bills. These individuals were normal, everyday people, whose lives had been suddenly shattered by the onset of illness. Doubly burdened by the devastation of illness and insurmountable medical bills, these individuals were often left with no options but an inevitable bankruptcy filing, which left them in an even worsened financial position, unable to obtain credit, and sometimes, with no home.

At LeafLit, we are confident in our abilities to help you through your troubled times, although there is never a guarantee. Sometimes we win, sometimes we don't. When you contact LeafLit, we will take the time to evaluate your particular circumstances, on a case by case basis. We also ask you to walk us through your financial means, and, using that information, we request that you work with us to implement a strategy and a plan which are practical, feasible and beneficial, in congruence with your needs and abilities.

Here's the bottom line: I believe that the public needs a source of advocacy, a voice through which to potentially reduce mounting medical bills. Insurance companies allocate significant resources, financial and otherwise, to negotiating and settling the medical debts of their insured. Why shouldn't you have similar advocacy?
